U.S. Army Selects PowerSteering for Lean Six Sigma Program Management

PowerSteering, the market leader in On-Demand Enterprise Performance Improvement solutions for Lean, Six Sigma and Operational Excellence today announced that the U.S. Army has chosen PowerSteering Software as its exclusive tracking solution for all Lean Six Sigma projects.

The Army has recently embraced Lean Six Sigma (LSS) as part of the Department of Defense's (DOD) sweeping mandate of Business Transformation, focused on providing end-to-end integration of operations in support of missions in times of peace and war while enabling financial accountability.

LSS, which is led by the highest levels of the Army, is used to identify functions that are no longer relevant, to eliminate non-value added operations, and to focus resources on required capabilities. With more than 1,000 Six Sigma trained personnel and hundreds of ongoing projects, LSS spans all Army areas including business, engineering, production and management divisions.
