SABMiller Chooses PowerSteering for Second Major Acquisition

PowerSteering to Deliver Global Best Practices and Help Manage Over 300 Projects Spanning 3 Continents

PowerSteering, the market leader in On-Demand Performance Improvement solutions for Merger Integration, Project Portfolio Management and Operational Excellence today announced that SABMiller has selected PowerSteering Software to oversee merger integration activities with its acquisition of Grupo Empresarial Bavaria.

The Grupo Empresarial Bavaria acquisition marks the second time SABMiller turned to PowerSteering to manage a complex integration process. In 2002 PowerSteering was used to manage the SAB/Miller merger involving over 200 project managers in 30 separate worldwide locations and help bridge cultural, technological, and managerial differences. With both mergers, speed to shareholder value was critical.

For its current acquisition, SABMiller required a solution to support the challenge of managing over 300 interdependent projects that were being implemented in 4 countries involving team members scattered across 3 continents.
